Why join Jewish War Veterans?
Good Question?
First of all for the camaraderie . We, at the Murray L. Rosen, Post 64, Jewish War Veterans of the USA, are a tight knit group who always enjoy each other’s company. We welcome and embrace all newcomers.
Besides our monthly meetings, we have an annual picnic, pot luck and a holiday party. We also have social get-togethers for the Post.
Our Post works with a number of organizations to help take homeless Veterans off the streets, the primary one being the Edward Kline Memorial Homeless Veterans Fund, Inc. DBA Kline Veterans Fund. We do this by collecting monies during the twice annual poppy drive held during the Memorial Day and Veterans Day week.
It gives a warm feeling to know that we are doing something that can change a person’s life. We work to give hope to those that are having a hard time getting back into the normal life they had when they left to fulfill their service to our country.
You don’t have to be Jewish to join.
You don’t have to be a Veteran to join.
You only have to be of good will and wish to support our Veteran philanthropic activities.
The only requirement(s) are that the Post Officers must be Jewish and Veterans or survivors of Post members who were Jewish and a Veteran.
